All you need to know about the village hall and what’s going on there

High Ham Village Hall is positioned in the centre of the village of High Ham, Somerset. It is a memorial hall opened in 1925 and serves the Parish of High Ham and beyond.

It is a great venue for a wide range of events.

Facilities:

Large function room which can accommodate approx. 100 people for performances or around 80 for a sit down meal.

Large fully equipped kitchen with range cooker, fridge, freezer, industrial dishwasher, crockery, glassware & cutlery for up to 80 people.

WiFi

Tables and chairs to seat 80.

Ladies, Gents and accessible toilets and baby changing facilities.

Ample parking in the large car park to the rear.

Very competitive rates.

28/01/2024 -Big Breakfast. Our fundraising events for 2024 started with a breakfast. It was incredibly well supported. Thank you. We raised just over £500 for the hall improvements. Next up is also food related – a Supper Night on 22nd March. Book with friend or family

03/09/2023 *** High Ham Flower and Produce Show*** – Entry forms now available (Under Events)

06/05/23 – We celebrated the King’s coronation with a party at the village Hall, a near sell out, we had live band Twisted Vinyl, a bar and food.

10/12/2022 -***Upcoming event – Wreath Making Workshops – 10th Dec ***

26/10/2022 – The hall committee hosted a Big Breakfast on 16th Oct (9.30 – 12) It’s a great chance to meet up with your neighbours and enjoy a cooked breakfast whilst helping to raise funds for the upkeep of the village hall. We raised almost £300. Thank you to everyone who joined in.

20/07/2022 – Last month the Hall hosted a Jubilee Party. Local band Twisted Vinyl played to a sell-out crowd. The hall’s committee ran the bar and food was provided by Little Van Rouge. Thanks to everyone for making this such a memorable night. The hall was also given £100 from our Parish Council as a contribution towards costs.

The Village Hall committee have agreed that a full programme of repairs and improvements to the hall is needed. Therefore over the coming months we will be looking to put forward a proposal for these works. We would like to hear from YOU. A questionnaire is being distributed to households across the parish and we really would like your opinion on how the hall is run and what you would like it to look like in the future. Please complete and return your comments to us. An online version is also available.

19/01/2022 – After a successful festive fundraising period, with a Christmas Fare and Wreath making, the committee met this week to discuss a schedule of events for the forthcoming year. We are planning a Big Breakfast in a few weeks time and plans are progressing for the Queen’s jubilee celebrations in June. We hope you are able to join us.

10/10/2021 – Our Community Cafe, in the Village Hall is open every Thursday, 9am – 1pm. We have just received a Magic Little Grant through the partnership between Localgiving and Postcode Local Trust. Postcode Local Trust is a grant-giving charity funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. Localgiving is the UK’s leading membership and support network for local charities and community groups. Our project received £500 to buy equipment and supplies.
